Destiny Wells For Indiana Attorney General

“I am running for Attorney General because Hoosiers deserve an Attorney General who will put them first,” said Wells. “As Attorney General, I will protect medical privacy, support workers’ rights, and focus on the needs and safety of our communities.”
As Attorney General, Wells will focus on the following three priorities:
- Protecting medical privacy: Wells will fight to protect the rights of all Hoosiers to make their own healthcare decisions.
- Supporting workers’ rights: Wells will introduce a Workers’ Bill of Rights and propose a task force to assist in issues such as wage theft and worker misclassification.
- Getting back to serving Hoosiers: Wells will prioritize the needs of Hoosiers, not national political talking points. Unlike the current Attorney General, she will return the office to its highest ethical standards.
Wells has a Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Indiana University. She is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College (Common Core). Wells also currently serves as a Deputy Chair of the Indiana Democratic Party.
Wells has served in the United States Army reserve component for more than twenty years, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan. She is a decorated veteran, having been awarded multiple Meritorious Service Medals and the Combat Action Badge. Wells holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and serves as Commander of Detachment 1, 2100th Military Intelligence Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
